Join Independent Living Systems (ILS) as our Housing Navigation Manager, a pivotal role focused on enhancing the quality of life for vulnerable populations. At ILS, alongside our health plans, Florida Community Care and Florida Complete Care, we are dedicated to ensuring individuals achieve independence and stability.
The Housing Navigation Manager will lead a dynamic team to coordinate housing support services in the healthcare and social assistance sectors. You will be responsible for crafting and executing innovative housing navigation strategies that connect individuals facing challenges with secure and stable housing. This leadership role requires you to ensure that our services reflect organizational objectives and community needs, while also building strong partnerships with various stakeholders.
By evaluating housing trends and client requirements, you will contribute to the ongoing enhancement of our programs and client outcomes. Your efforts will directly support individuals experiencing housing instability, empowering them towards improved health and long-term security.
- Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Public Health, Human Services, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in housing navigation, case management, or social services, with a minimum of 2 years in a supervisory or management role.
- Strong knowledge of housing systems, social assistance programs, and community resources.
- Deep understanding of the difficulties faced by people experiencing housing instability or homelessness.
- Proven leadership skills in team management, program development, and collaboration with diverse stakeholders.
- Current California (CA) Driver's License and residency in CA while employed.
- Must use a personal vehicle with valid registration and proof of auto insurance, meeting CA minimum requirements.
- BCLS CPR Certification required.
- Master's degree in Social Work, Public Administration, or a related field.
- Experience in the healthcare sector or integrated health and social service environments.
- Familiarity with data management systems and program evaluation techniques.
- Certifications in case management or housing navigation.
- Experience with grant writing and managing funding contracts.
- Design, implement, and assess housing navigation programs that cater to diverse client needs.
- Work collaboratively with community partners, landlords, social service agencies, and healthcare providers to enhance housing options and resources.
- Supervise client intake, assessment, and referral processes to guarantee efficient and timely housing placements.
- Analyze data and client feedback to gauge program effectiveness and spotlight areas for improvement.
- Oversee budgets, funding proposals, and compliance with reporting requirements for housing navigation services.
- Advocate for clients' housing needs within social assistance and healthcare systems.
- Ensure adherence to relevant regulations, standards, and organizational policies.
