As an Employment Specialist, you will develop strong, supportive relationships with both the individuals you serve and their employers. Your ability to communicate effectively, advocate for inclusive practices, and maintain consistent engagement is key to sustaining long-term employment and meaningful workplace integration—especially for those facing additional barriers, such as a history of involvement with the justice system.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized job coaching and employment support
  • Assist with onboarding, workplace integration, and skill development
  • Design and implement accommodations for varied learning and ability needs
  • Advocate for justice-involved youth and individuals with disabilities in employment settings
  • Build and maintain productive relationships with employers
  • Track progress, complete documentation, and support long-term job retention
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field (preferred)
  • Special Education degree or relevant experience is a plus
  • Prior experience working with individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities or justice-involved youth is highly desirable
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Mandatory background screening and drug testing
