Staff Accountant

Chicopee, MA | Salary: $75,000 – $85,000

Position Overview:

We’re looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant who thrives in a hands‑on role and wants exposure to all areas of accounting within a dynamic construction setting. • Assist with day-to-day accounting operations, including AP/AR, journal entries, and account reconciliations
• Support month‑end and year‑end closing processes
• Track project costs and assist with job cost reporting
• Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
• Support budget preparation and financial analysis efforts
• Collaborate with project managers and field teams to ensure accurate financial data
• Assist with process improvements as the department grows

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 1–3 years of accounting experience (construction industry experience a plus but not required)
• Strong understanding of GAAP
• Proficiency in Excel; experience with construction accounting software is a bonus
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and follow‑through
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, project‑driven environment
