Position: Purchasing Administrator (Onsite: Chicopee, MA)

The consultant role is for an experienced Indirect Purchasing Administrator to independently

Primary Responsibilities
  • Process purchase requisitions and purchase orders while ensuring compliance with purchasing guidelines, company policies, and strategic objectives.
  • Independently manage and process RFPs (Requests for Proposal), RFIs (Requests for Information), and RFQs (Requests for Quotation) to support business needs and project requirements.
  • Source new products and services, identify and onboard vendors, and develop innovative procurement strategies.
  • Maintain and manage purchasing and contract-related data and documentation.
  • Support the development and implementation of purchasing best practices and standard methodologies.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external vendors.
Minimum Requirements / Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of purchasing/procurement experience.
  • Experience managing RFPs, RFQs, RFIs, purchase requisitions, purchase orders, vendor relationships, cost reduction initiatives, and vendor consolidation efforts.
  • Hands-on experience managing all phases of the purchasing lifecycle in both manual and automated environments.
  • Strong understanding of procurement and purchasing management principles.
  • Advanced proficiency with Adobe Acrobat Pro, Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to work effectively across diverse personalities and stakeholder groups.
  • Experience supporting both internal customers and external vendors.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workload, work independently, and contribute within a team environment.
  • Willingness to work additional hours during peak business cycles as needed.
