Part Time Childcare Educator - MA - Chicopee Public Schools

Right At School provides local school districts before and after school extended day programs with a focus on disguised learning activities and daily enrichment dedicated to the success of all students.

$16.00-$19.00 per hour (based on education and experience)

Monday to Friday 7:00 AM – 8:30 AM and 2:30 PM – 5:30 PM

• Daily program meetings: review goals and updates, share ideas, discuss progress, encourage collaboration, and maintain team accountability.
• Organize and facilitate daily activities: prepare and lead structured activities and curriculum that are educational and enjoyable for all ages, ensuring alignment with program objectives.
• Lead by example: maintain a safe, nurturing environment, model positive guidance, and practice effective classroom management.
• Prioritize safety and joy: monitor the environment, address potential hazards, and follow all safety protocols, including documenting attendance, incidents, and observations.
• Communicate effectively with children, parents, staff, and school personnel.

• Outstanding customer service and relationship‑building skills.
• Ability to work well in a team environment.
• At least one year of experience working with children under 13 years of age and ability to lift 25 lbs.
• Drive to inspire a love for learning and commitment to healthy living.
• Flexibility to support additional local programs as needed.
• Ability to meet state‑specific requirements (Massachusetts):
  First Aid and CPR in‑person training, cleared tuberculosis test, proof of MMR, and 18+ years of age.
• Educational background: bachelor’s or associate’s degree with 3 months of experience working with school‑age children, or high school diploma or equivalent with 6 months of experience working with school‑age children and 3 months of supervised experience at a school‑age child care program, or nine months of experience with school‑age children including 3 months of supervised experience at a school‑age child care program.
