We’re excited to announce a unique opportunity for an Entry-Level Designer/Estimator

Candidates can potentially work out of one of the following 2locations:
Chicopee, MA
Auburn, NY
Ideal candidates must be willing to train initially in Burlington, North Carolina for our January Design Trainee Class for 4 weeks (company will cover all costs - training is paid) and then Design Trainee come back to their home plant where they are partnered with a Mentor for 12 months.
What You'll Do:
Get hands-on experience designing roof trusses, floor trusses, wall panels, and engineered wood products (EWP) for residential and commercial projects.
Work with cutting-edge software (MiTek) to prepare bids, layouts, and engineered profiles.
Collaborate with experienced professionals in a supportive team environment to ensure customers' needs are met and design solutions are offered.
Develop your skills through paid, comprehensive training in Burlington, North Carolina (January Design Trainee Class – 4-6 weeks, with all travel and accommodation covered).
Grow within the company
, with opportunities for continued learning and advancement in the design and construction fields.Build strong relationships with retail clients, builders, framers, and developers to answer design questions and deliver top-tier service.

What We’re Looking For:
Background in drafting, CAD, construction, or framing is highly preferred.
Detail-oriented with strong mathematical and analytical skills – comfortable working with blueprints and calculating loads.
Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks
, and meet deadlines.Excellent communication skills and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
A willingness to learn and grow within a supportive, collaborative team.

Hourly Pay Range: $18-20/hr dependent on experience*
Bonus/Incentive Pay
Incentive pay may be available for certain job roles and may include piece rate incentives, weekly production bonuses, trip rates, and employee referral bonuses. A discretionary annual bonus based on Company and business unit performance may also be provided.
