Sr. Process Engineer

Overview

Process Engineering at Cardinal Health Engineering supports research, analysis, and implementation of design options for components, products, systems, and processes. The role analyzes manufacturer and supplier processes to determine capability, drives improvements, and nurtures supplier assessment and selection. The engineer directs external resources and contractors as needed.

Develop and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve product quality. Utilize lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies. Provide extensive troubleshooting support for manufacturing equipment—including PLCs, vision systems, robotics, and sensors. Identify and resolve process and equipment issues promptly. Conduct thorough root cause analysis to determine underlying causes of failures, and implement corrective and preventive actions to mitigate recurrence.

Work with OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) and SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) systems to monitor and improve manufacturing performance. Provide technical support to production teams, ensuring smooth and efficient manufacturing processes. Drive continuous improvement initiatives. Develop and maintain comprehensive process documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs), process flow diagrams, and work instructions. Work closely with cross‑functional teams, including production, maintenance, quality, and R&D, to ensure successful implementation of improvements and solutions.

• 2‑4 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent work experience (preferred)
• Experience working with OEE and SCADA systems (preferred)
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies (preferred)
• Applies working knowledge of concepts, principles, and technical capabilities to perform varied tasks
• Works on projects of moderate scope and complexity
• Identifies possible solutions to a variety of technical problems and takes action to resolve
• Applies judgment within defined parameters
• Receives general guidance and may receive more detailed instruction on new projects
• Work reviewed for sound reasoning and accuracy

Anticipated salary range: $76,700 - $109,500. Bonus eligible:
