Licensed Clinical Director | Alternative Options | DYS

Clinical Director is responsible for the management of clinical treatment from intake to discharge for youth serving residential treatment programs within the Adolescent and Family Services (AFS) division. Position may also include providing clinical supervision/support to additional programs/clinician staff within AFS such as nurses and/or occupational therapists.

Job Summary:

Clinical Director is responsible for the management of clinical treatment from intake to discharge for youth serving residential treatment programs within the Adolescent and Family Services (AFS) division. Position may also include providing clinical supervision/support to additional programs/clinician staff within AFS such as nurses and/or occupational therapists.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Establish clinical goals and objectives for residential treatment programs.
  • To ensure referral and intake process runs efficiently in conjunction with Program Administration.
  • To implement and evaluate the Program goals, including an annual report of accomplishments against objectives planned.
  • Hires staff subject to the approval of the Director of Adolescent and Family services.
  • Train, supervise and evaluate the clinical staff of various programs.
  • Provide Individual, Family and Group Therapy as needed and required.
  • To ensure client care and safety through policy assessment and development.
  • To provide supervision to program administration re: crisis intervention
  • Necessary to meet overall agency goals and provide support to management and program staff.
  • Responsible for the complete therapeutic and clinical services of above named programs.
  • Responsible for all client tracking, incident evaluation and training programs.
  • Responsible for all supervision of Clinicians/case managers at the above named programs.
  • Ability to structure and organize job responsibilities independently
  • Ability to deal with diverse populations at varied levels of management
  • Promoting Knowledge acquisition and skills development through various professional development opportunities
  • Assisting personnel in transferring the skill and knowledge obtained in the classroom to their work in the field
  • Inputting data into the data management system
  • Using data collection tools and forms
  • Reading and interpreting reports
  • Using data to improve performance

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Completion of a Doctoral level education program (Psy.D or Ph.D) or Masters
  • MA state licensure as MLHC, LISCW, LADCI,
  • 2 plus years of supervisory experience
  • Program development experience
  • Bilingual Preferred (Spanish/English)
