Responsible for cleaning and maintaining the health and safety standards of the buildings and grounds.

• Performs interior and exterior center janitorial, building maintenance, and ground keeping assignments.
• Responsible for the general maintenance of the center’s landscape.
• Ensures all equipment and facilities are cleaned and maintained in accordance with center, OSHA, and DOL standards.
• Stocks supply room with appropriate supplies.
• Maintains grounds and picks up trash, paper, and other debris.
• Shovels and removes snow and ice from designated areas such as sidewalks, entryways, and roofs as required.
• Salts ice on the exterior grounds of the facility.
• Moves furniture, equipment, or fixtures as required.
• Sets up rooms for meetings, classes, or events.
• Assists the center in every effort necessary to achieve its OMS goals and ensures strict adherence to the Zero Tolerance Policy.
• Promotes a positive work environment demonstrating career success standards and core values.

• Knowledge of methods, tools, materials, and equipment used in grounds and maintenance work.
• Knowledge of methods and techniques of mowing, edging, pruning, and trimming.
• Skilled in the proper use of cleaning products and equipment.
• Capable of following verbal and written instructions.
• Ability to read and understand labels and directions.
• Proficient in the use of computer software such as MSWord, Excel, and Outlook.

High school graduate or equivalent.

One year of custodial experience.

Must possess a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.

• Reading, writing, and communicating fluently in English.

• Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard and other equipment and tools.
• Kneeling, bending at the waist, stooping and reaching overhead.
• Retrieving and storing files and supplies; occasionally carrying and/or lifting light objects.

Campus and general office setting; indoor and outdoor environment. Exposure to dust, chemicals, cleaning products, variances in temperatures, and equipment with moving parts. Monday through Friday 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM.
