Nexstar Media, Inc., America’s largest local broadcasting company, is seeking an experienced and dynamic Vice President & General Manager to lead WWLP (NBC/CW) in Springfield, Massachusetts (DMA #115), as well as all digital, mobile, and social assets associated with the station.  The ideal candidate will utilize their proven skillsets and extensive experience in leading broadcast operational teams with sales-driven organizations, including a strong understanding of advanced digital ad solutions, and new business development.

Additionally, this candidate will possess a strong background in developing locally originated content for multiple platforms (OTT, linear, web, social), driving audience engagement, and increasing our overall reach. Promoting a winning culture of teamwork within all station departments and prior success in maintaining a focus on operational efficiencies and growth in programming performance and new local revenue generation is required.  

The station serves Western Massachusetts and parts of northern Connecticut, delivering trusted local news, weather, and community-focused content to viewers across the Pioneer Valley. Known for its strong local reporting, the station has earned multiple regional Emmy Awards and recognition from the Associated Press for excellence in journalism. Beyond the newsroom, WWLP is deeply committed to the communities it serves, partnering with local organizations, supporting charitable initiatives, and hosting outreach efforts that make a meaningful impact across the region.

This position requires a leader with exemplary strategic vision, focused execution, and a verified understanding of local outreach and thoughtful community involvement. In addition to having a proven track record of managing high-performing sales, and news teams, the successful candidate must be effective in collaborating with department heads and staff members and promote teamwork within all areas of station operations.
