We are searching for an Assistant Program Director to join one of our Youth Programs in Springfield, MA. The role will assume overall responsibility for the program in the absence of the Program Director and maintain a therapeutic environment within the residence. Duties also include meeting client needs in safety, medical, emotional, food, clothing, shelter, promoting staff development and assisting the Program Director with daily tasks.

• Supervise Direct Care/Relief Workers and provide support and training as needed.
• Maintain a consistent manner in implementing reasonable limits and structure for each client daily in the residence and community.
• Maintain contact with families and collaterals as needed.
• Ensure applicable rules, policies and procedures are followed on their shifts.
• Adhere to all expectations of a shift Supervisor.
• Provide leadership to shift Supervisors.
• Implement each client’s individual Level Plan objectives under direction of Clinical and Program Supervisors.
• Accurately log all required documentation.
• Act as a client advocate.
• Provide appropriate, safe responses to emergency situations when necessary.
• Develop strong, supportive relationships with the clients.
• Provide for client care and safety, observe all safety measures.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Program Director or Clinical Director.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services, Social Work, Psychology.
• At least two years of experience in Human Services (preferred).
• Exceptional writing and organizational skills.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills.
• MAP Certified or willing to obtain certification (preferred).
• Valid driver’s license and a vehicle for transporting clients or performing other supportive services.
• Meeting Agency driving history requirements and passing EEC background check.
• Bilingual (English & Spanish) and bicultural background encouraged.
