Position DescriptionSummary
Ondrick Portable Crushing & Paving, LLC owns and operates divisions in the aggregate, paving and hardscape industries. The Crushing Plant Foreman handles all field related activities including efficient management of crew, proper maintenance and operation of all equipment and fulfilling production requirements to ensure profitable crushing projects. They will help to ensure goals are met safely and efficiently while adhering to company policies.
Position Requirements Qualifications- Supervisor skills to oversee and lead 3-4 crew members
- Ensure the safety of employees on the crew including adherence to use of PPE
- Advanced knowledge of crusher operation, conveyor systems and maintenance
- Mechanical, troubleshooting and welding/fabrication skills preferred
- Maintain quality control of production at all times
- Must be able to multitask with a strong sense of urgency to meet the customer's needs
- Must be able to work well within a team environment and take instruction from management
- Must have good written and verbal communication skills
- Must comply with Federal and State governmental health and safety regulations and procedure at all times.
- Must comply with all Company policies and procedures.
- Read, understand and interpret material testing procedures and gradations etc. Communicate with quality control personnel and make required adjustments to material blends.
- Coordinate the mobilization of crusher equipment with the superintendent.
- Review, understand and carryout correct operating and maintenance procedures for all crushing equipment on each job assigned.
- Schedule all resources needed for each job daily and work with operations manager to establish an efficient work schedule
- Work with operations manager to communicate the most effective equipment applications, maintenance schedules and procedures.
- Responsible for general and specific safety practices, following company safety procedures, and cooperating with our safety manager in a positive pro-active manner.
- Keeps all conveyor belts and areas between rollers, pulley, and catwalk clear of mud, dirt, rock, and debris with shovel or skid steer.
- Maintain plant by greasing, oiling and lubrication of all points on the conveyor, crusher, and other equipment.
- Perform daily equipment walk around and site inspections to identify and correct any unsafe conditions and keep equipment properly maintained.
- Trouble shoot and problem solve situations/problems (material quality, equipment operation/repair, etc.). Monitor and discuss production problems with co-workers and managers/supervisors.
- Timely and accurately completes crushing reports and other documentation as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
