Ondrick Portable Crushing &Paving,LLC owns and operates divisions in the aggregate, paving and hardscape industries. The Crusher Operator/Ground Man will contribute to the crushing crew team as well as the overall Ondrick Portable Crushing & Paving team. They will help to ensure goals are met safely and efficiently while adhering to company policies. This position focuses primarily on operating portable primary and secondary rock crushers, as well as cleaning and servicing the areas around the crusher, screens, conveyors, etc.
to minimize downtime due to blockage of equipment by dirt, mud and other material. They will perform other non‑specified tasks as required.

Qualifications:- Basic knowledge of crusher operation, conveyor systems and maintenance
- Ability to operate various pieces of equipment
- Mechanical, troubleshooting and welding/fabrication skills preferred
- Ability to pass a pre‑employment drug screen, CORI check, driving record check
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends, night shifts, overtime
- Must be willing to travel and work away from home when necessary
- Must be able to multi‑task with a strong sense of urgency to meet the customer’s needs
- Must be able to work well with i/nate team environment and take instruction from management and co‑workers
- Must be a self‑starter with the ability to work independently
- Must have good written and verbal communication skills
- Strong record of attendance and reliability
- Displays a professional and courteous attitude to co‑workers, supervisors and the general public at all times
- Operates plant processing equipment in accordance with company guidelines for product quality and production output
- Ability to operate a skid steer accurately, efficiently and safely
- Moves controls on panel board or control board to control feeding crushing and screening machinery
- Perform routine maintenance such as lubricating and oiling all points of conveyor, crusher and other equipment in a timely manner
- Assist with major plant repairs and breakdowns as required. Coordinates work to ensure that repairs are completed in a timely manner and according to order of priority
- Cleans all related areas around crushers including rollers, pulley, screens and catwalk and keeps them clear of mud, dirt, rock and debris with shovel or skid steer
- Monitors plant and other equipment for mechanical failure and report to site management when identified. Performs daily equipment walk‑around and site inspections to identify any unsafe conditions.
- Communicate with quality control personnel and make required adjustments to material blends
- Monitor in‑process material blends and monitor for problems. Troubleshoot and solve situations/problems with material quality, equipment operation, repairs, etc. Monitor and discuss production problems with co‑workers and managers/supervisors
- Properly follow all company policies and OSHA/MSHA regulations for safe working procedures and environment including utilization of proper personal protective equipment
- Follow directions from foreman; daily tasks and expectations for each specific project
- Must be able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to do routine paperwork.

- Exposure to atmospheric conditions such as dust, dirt, fumes, stone and minerals
- Exposure to load noise and vibration
- Must be able to stoop, bend, balance, kneel, reach, sit and walk on rough terrain
- Must have good hearing and vision
- Lift, carry and hold materials, tools and supplies
- Must be able to climb ladders, extended stairways and be physically capable to access all areas of the plant
- Must be able to pick up 100 lbs. and consistently pick up 50 lbs.
- Must be able to work at heights around hazardous plant equipment
- General education, grammar and arithmetic, GED or high school diploma or equivalent
- Must possess basic computer skills using Microsoft Office products
- Knowledge of, or past experience in crushing equipment maintenance and operations
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
- Possess a MA Hoisting License with a current DOT Medical Card
- Be at least 18 years of age due to the nature of working environment
