General Inspector - 3rd Shift

The General Inspector position performs repetitive inspection and packing of a variety of similar chain products involving the use of fixed gauges and visually inspects to establish the conformity of product to specifications.

• Perform repetitive inspection and packaging of a variety of similar chain products using fixed gauges and visual inspection to establish conformity to specifications.
• Work from order, simple specifications, and general instructions of the group leader or department foreman.
• Check length, width, radii, and surface condition to meet established specifications.
• Prepare chain for shipment, apply bar code, and make chain as specified.

• Repetitive inspection of pins using fixed gauges and visual inspection to establish conformity.
• Work from order, simple specifications, and general instruction of foreman or group leader.
• Check length, width, radii, and surface condition to meet specifications.
• Record production and time data and report it to Payroll.
• Maintain schedules for plate requirements for the Automatic Silent Chain Assembly machines and lines.
• Feed and provision plates to bowl feeders, load empty and filled strings to and from stringing machines, stack onto handling carts, maintain traceability, and minimize contamination.
• Move carts to specified locations next to chain assembly machines.
• Secure proper parts, rearrange storage, and perform minor troubleshooting of stringer machines.

• Repetitive tasks directed by Supervisor, Group Leader, or Setup Specialist to maintain schedules for plate requirements for the Automatic Silent Chain Assembly machines and lines.
• Feed and provision plates to bowl feeders, load empty and filled strings, stack onto carts, maintain traceability, and minimize contamination.
• Move carts to specified locations next to chain assembly machines.
• Secure parts, rearrange storage, and perform minor troubleshooting of stringer machines.

• Work from order, specifications, and general instructions of the group leader or Production Supervisor.
• Record production and time data and report it to Payroll.
• Sort NCM materials according to specifications.
• Maintain work area and equipment in a clean, orderly condition and follow standard safety regulations.
• Perform other similar and associated duties as required or directed.

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
• 0‑3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment highly desired.

• Good mechanical aptitude and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to use material handling devices such as hand trucks and hydraulic lift trucks.

21.24‑23.67 Hourly Wage. Includes medical and dental benefits, life insurance, generous 401(k) match and profit sharing, paid vacation time, step increases, shift differential pay, and weekly pay.
