OverviewAssembly contributes to Cardinal Health Manufacturing by managing costs of production and maintenance activities including process improvement, supply chain management, quality assurance, employee safety and engagement, and environmental commitment. Performs a variety of tasks ranging from repetitive to non-repetitive production to assemble component parts into assemblies, sub-assemblies or completed units, following standard operating procedures. May conduct quality inspections on the processing line in accordance with quality specifications.
Responsibilities- Sets up and operates production equipment in accordance with current manufacturing practices and standard operating procedures.
- Measures and records data associated with operating and manufacturing equipment.
- Verifies outputs in the manufacturing process and ensures that quality and quantity standards are met.
- Inspects components for debris or other potential quality defects and reports defects as needed to management and the quality team.
- Performs duties in compliance with all safety rules and regulations required by the Company, Local, and State and Federal provisions.
- Ability to lift, push, pull and move up to 20lbs as needed.
- 1–2 years of experience, preferred.
- High School diploma, GED or equivalent, or equivalent work experience, preferred.
- Applies acquired knowledge and skills to complete standard tasks.
- Readily learns and applies new information and methods to work in assigned area.
- Maintains appropriate licenses, training and certifications.
- Works on routine assignments that require some problem resolution.
- Works within clearly defined standard operating procedures and/or scientific methods.
- Adheres to all quality guidelines.
- Works under moderate degree of supervision.
- Work typically involves regular review of output by work lead or supervisor.
- Refers complex unusual problems to supervisor.
