Day in the Life of a Family & Community Engagement Coordinator

As the Family & Community Engagement Coordinator, you will be responsible for planning, implementing, and overseeing initiatives that strengthen relationships between the Boys & Girls Club of Chicopee, our members, their families, and the community. You will serve as the primary liaison between the Club, volunteers, community partners, schools, and the public, fostering meaningful connections that increase family engagement, expand volunteer involvement, and promote the Club's mission through outreach, events, and communications.

The Coordinator develops and maintains partnerships with local schools, businesses, civic organizations, and community agencies while coordinating volunteer recruitment, orientation, scheduling, and recognition. This position also manages the Club's social media presence, oversees facility rentals, supports marketing and development efforts, and assists with organization‑wide events and fundraising initiatives that increase community awareness and support for the Club's mission.

When not actively supporting these initiatives, you will serve as the lead staff member for the Club on Wheels mobile program. In this role, you will safely operate and drive the Club on the Go vehicle, plan, coordinate, and facilitate engaging activities that bring the Boys & Girls Club experience directly into the community.
