Full‑time on‑site position at the Center for Human Development (CHD) in Chicopee, MA 01020, USA.

CHD’s Crisis Stabilization Unit is seeking Registered Nurses (RN) and Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) to provide critical care to adults and teens during vulnerable moments in an outpatient behavioral health setting.

• Collaborate with nurses, physicians, advanced practice nurses, psychologists, social workers, or other professionals.
• Collaborate with guardians, relatives, and significant others of people served when clinically indicated.
• Document assessments and treatments in the electronic health record.
• Monitor vital signs.
• Assess signs of substance withdrawal and complete standardized assessment tools such as the Clinical Opioid Withdrawal Scale (COWS), CIWA, CIWAb.
• Fill physician orders.
• Administer medications.
• Engage in a medication reconciliation process.
• Coordinate medical care.
• Contribute to comprehensive assessments.
• Provide brief crisis counseling.
• Develop individualized crisis prevention planning.
• Provide psychoeducation.
• Assist with discharge planning and care coordination.

RN pay rate: $45.00/hr; LPN pay rate: $36.50/hr schedules include days, evenings, and overnights. Must be able to work every other weekend.
