Schedule:
5‑day work week, including Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays.
- Exceed customer expectations by providing outstanding customer service and product knowledge.
- Greet customers in a timely, friendly, non‑pressured, and professional manner.
- Focus on daily, weekly, and monthly sales goals set by sales managers.
- Attend, participate, and contribute to company meetings and training sessions to improve performance and enhance knowledge.
- Act as an ambassador for Cardi’s Furniture, implementing creative ideas for additional business by networking, prospecting, and using social media.
- Contribute to an upbeat, positive work environment.
- Enter all sales orders into the system correctly and review each with the customer 100% of the time for completeness and accuracy.
- Perform additional functions that may be assigned at the discretion of management.
- Ability to work a retail schedule that includes nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Interior design or sales experience/knowledge a plus but not required.
- Physically able to be on your feet and move throughout the showroom for an 8–12‑hour workday.
- Ability to maintain emotional composure in a professional business setting with customers, peers, and management.
- Strong work ethic and dependability a must.
- General computer proficiency.
- Professional dress required.
Physical Requirements
Work performed in a store environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and fax machines. Employees may use personal cell phones for customer contact and follow–up and a personal tablet for room sketching. Regularly required to view, see, manipulate, and handle product to demonstrate to customers. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
The employee continuously walks or stands on the store’s showroom floor, standing for extended periods of time, and frequently uses hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, and lift and carry small items up to 30 pounds, such as lamps.
