Golf Course Cashier

Employment Status: Non-Exempt, Chapter 7 Ordinance, Part-Time (Temporary)

Hours: 19 Hours/Week

Schedule: Sunday–Saturday: 6:00AM – 12:30PM / 12:30PM – 7:00PM

* Must be available to work any shifts (Available on Weekends)

The City of Chicopee’s Golf Course is hiring a Golf Cashier who will assist in all aspects of golf operations under the Director of Golf.

• Cashiers shall count the starting cash amount in the register at beginning of the shift and ending cash total at end of shift.
• Handles cash checks, credit cards, and gift cards on a daily basis in the selling of merchandise, green fees and golf carts for daily, league and tournament play.
• Make daily deposits at the conclusion of the day (drop cash & paperwork in safe at conclusion of day).
• Responsible for golf merchandise sales and inventory control on Pro Shop.
• Handle daily phone calls in registering customers for available tee times.
  
  Work co-operatively with seasonal golf assistants to promote great golf operations.

• AED Certification – Required
• Must have basic knowledge of golf operations.
• Must have ability to use a P.O.S. cash register system.
• Ability to work with general public in a professional manner.
