Position Type: Full-time, hourly position eligible for overtime

Compensation: $28 per hour + potential for additional $600 per week in incentives

Job Summary:

The Ductless Mini Split (DMS) Crew Lead is responsible for overseeing a team of 2-3 technicians and ensuring that installation projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to high quality standards. They provide leadership, guidance, and support to the team while also actively participating in installation tasks.

  • Supervision and Coordination:
    • Lead and direct a team of DMS technicians in the installation of ductless mini splits and related technologies in customer’s homes.
    • Coordinate workflow, assign tasks, and ensure that project timelines are met.
    • Provide on‑job training, guidance, and support to team members as needed.
    • Report any job or employee issues to management.
  • Quality Assurance:
    • Inspect completed DMS installations and related technology to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
    • Identify and address any deficiencies or issues in the installation process.
    • Conduct regular quality control checks throughout the project to maintain consistency and excellence in workmanship.
  • Safety Compliance:
    • Enforce safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment for all team members.
    • Conduct safety briefings to promote awareness and adherence to safety guidelines.
    • Take proactive measures to mitigate potential hazards and address any safety concerns that arise during the project.
  • Customer Relations:
    • Communicate with customers to understand project requirements and expectations.
    • Address customer inquiries, concerns, and feedback in a professional and timely manner.
    • Ensure customer satisfaction by delivering high-quality workmanship and excellent service.
  • Perform additional tasks as required.

Education & Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • EPA Certification required.
  • Minimum 36 months of HVAC experience.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures related to construction work.
  • Requires proficiency in reading, writing, and communicating in English.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This is a supervisory role that may include overseeing and managing a team or department.

  • Customer settings:
    This position is based in customer settings and will require work in and out of doors, including in attics, basements, small-confined spaces, and rooftops.
  • Warehouse Environment:
    This position is based in a warehouse, which serves as a base for many of our operations and includes equipment and material storage areas.

Physical Demands:

  • While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to stand, bend, crawl, or kneel in confined spaces. The employee may be required to lift up to 60 pounds, and must be able to climb ladders, enter crawl spaces, stand on roofs, and move up and down stairs safely.
  • This job may require travel in a personal or company‑provided vehicle.
