Position Summary
Association Properties Group (APG) is a specialized property management company delivering full management and maintenance services in partnership with MHA. We are seeking a skilled, reliable Painter to join our property management team. This role is essential to maintaining the appearance, value, and livability of our residential and commercial properties. The ideal candidate takes pride in quality workmanship, works efficiently, and understands the importance of creating clean, welcoming spaces for tenants and clients.
Pay Rate: $21-$23 an hour
Schedule:
Monday through Friday 8:30am-4:30pm (40hrs)
- Prepare interior and exterior surfaces for painting, including sanding, patching, caulking, priming, and cleaning.
- Apply paint, stain, varnish, and other finishes, using brushes, rollers, and sprayers.
- Perform drywall repairs, texture matching, and minor carpentry as needed to ensure surfaces are ready for finishing.
- Protect surrounding areas with drop cloths, tape, and other materials to prevent damage.
- Maintain cleanliness of work areas and ensure proper disposal of materials.
- Inspect completed work to ensure high-quality results and adherence to company standards.
- Communicate with property managers, maintenance staff, and tenants regarding project timelines and access needs.
- Track materials used and report supply needs to management.
- Proven experience as a professional painter, preferably in a residential or property management settings.
- Strong knowledge of painting techniques, surface preparation, and finishing materials.
- Ability to perform drywall patching, minor repairs, and texture matching.
- Comfortable working on ladders, scaffolding, and in various indoor/outdoor environments.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Good time management skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Valid driver’s license, sufficient auto insurance, and reliable transportation.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs.
- Ability to stand, sit, kneel, and climb for extended periods.
- Comfortable working in varying weather conditions for exterior projects.
