The City of Chicopee’s Department of Public Works – Sanitation/Recycling Division is hiring a Laborer who will be responsible for picking up and loading trash and recycling materials throughout the city into vehicles.

• Runs a hopper.
• Picks up trash/recycling products.
• Cutting brush and grass.
• May be assigned to litter clean up.
• Adheres to all state, federal, and local safety regulations as well as City of Chicopee Health and Safety policies.

• Valid Massachusetts Class D Driver’s License.
  
  - Required
• City may consider applicants with said Massachusetts Class D Driver’s License but as a condition of hire, said license must
  be obtained within six (6) months of hire.
  
  - Required
• High School Diploma or Equivalent. – Preferred
• Or one to three (1-3) months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
