Granite City is looking for a professional Delivery Driver to join our delivery team in Chicopee, MA. Approximate hours are 5:00 AM – 1:00 PM, Monday–Friday. We offer competitive pay as well as incentives. The Delivery Driver will load the truck, drive to customer locations, unload and deliver product in a timely, efficient and safe manner. The driver will maintain vehicle in good condition and ensure paperwork is current and accurate.

The driver will provide superior customer service, delivering product on-time, accurately and professionally. Compensation for this position is an hourly rate of $24.00-$28.00

Schedule:

~5:00 AM–1:00 PM, Monday–Friday. Responsibilities include loading, delivering, unloading, and ensuring accurate paperwork with a focus on safety and customer service.

• Deliver material to customers in an efficient and safe manner.
• Ensure the truck is in safe operating condition, clean, professional, and adheres to DOT regulations.
• Communicate effectively with internal customers (sales, operations) to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Provide first-class delivery service to external customers.
• Provide feedback to supervisors to maintain efficiency in driving routes.
• Acquire and maintain current knowledge of GCE policies and procedures; participate in training and attend meetings as requested.
• Maintain professional appearance and conduct at all times.
• Participate in programs aimed at promoting a safe work environment.
• Follow SOPs for the position; maintain high order accuracy and on-time delivery.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1–3 years of professional driving experience driving a non-CDL 26  box truck.
• Knowledge of forklift operations and warehouse equipment preferred.
• Eclipse software experience preferred; computer aptitude is necessary.
• Equivalent education or experience may be substituted.
• Valid drivers license, clean driving record, Medical DOT Card.
• Experience with routing software preferred.

• Customer service essential; electrical or construction knowledge is a plus.
• Must have a valid, unexpired Medical DOT Card.
• Must be able to drive professionally and hold a valid, unexpired driver s license.
• Must have a clean driving record/MVR.
• Must communicate effectively with internal and external customers.
• Good math and reading skills.
• Mechanical aptitude required.
• Ability to understand maps/GPS.
• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs repetitively; push/pull up to 70 lbs.
• Ability to bend, twist and stoop frequently; climb in and out of trucks; work in all weather conditions.
