Material Handler

Summary

While reporting to the Shift Supervisor, the material handler will be responsible for moving, loading and unloading materials by operating a fork truck within or near the plant, yard, or work site. The role includes moving finished goods between areas and performing blending Room activities as needed. This position is located in Chillicothe, MO and is for an 11‑hour night shift (7:00pm–7:00am) with a $2.00 shift differential and a base rate of $21.37 per hour.

• Complies with all company policies and procedures, including all safety policies and procedures.
• Facilitate a safe workplace for all employees.
• Completing pre‑use inspections.
• Operate industrial truck to load or move materials and products.
• Follow written and/or oral instructions for materials or containers to be moved.
• Use scan gun to count, transfer, and record number of units of material/finished goods moved or handled.
• Open containers.
• Transfer materials from Raw to WIP.
• Attach identifying tags or labels to materials or mark information on cases, gaylords, or other containers.
• Compare identifying information and count, weigh, or measure items of incoming shipments to verify information against Bills of Lading, invoices, purchase orders, or other records.
• Complete and submit all necessary forms to Production Supervisor.
• Segregate weigh scraps and dump trash in appropriate containers.
• Perform Blending Room material handling duties as needed.
• Other duties as requested by Supervisor.

• Minimum 6 months related experience and/or training.
• Current license as fork‑truck operator.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Ability to effectively work with a team in a fast‑paced environment.
• Reading, writing, and basic math skills.
• Data entry skills and proficiency in using a scan gun.
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
• Ability to stand, sit, reach, and bend.
• Ability to push/pull and handle product.
• Ability to work in conditions that may include heat, humidity, and production noise.
