Customer Service Associate

The Customer Service Associate helps customers find the right products and services for their home improvement needs. This role includes greeting customers, answering questions, assisting with merchandise, loading products, and ensuring a positive shopping experience.

• Welcome customers to Lowe's, answer questions, and deliver friendly and professional customer service.
• Assist customers with locating and handling merchandise.
• Down stock merchandise by looking for empty areas on shelves and replenishing supplies.
• Process orders and deliveries accurately so customers receive merchandise as expected and on time.
• Cross‑functionally train in other areas of the store to help deliver the best customer service.
• Prepare merchandise in your department based on customer needs (e.g., tint and mix paint, cut and thread pipe, cut and bundle wood, cut drywall, cut blinds).
• Guide customers through shopping or checkout.
• Complete other duties as assigned.

• 6 months experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information.
• 6 months experience using common retail technology such as smartphones and tablets.
• Reading, writing, and performing basic arithmetic (addition and subtraction).
• Able to perform duties that may require prolonged standing, sitting, and other activities necessary to perform job duties.
• Minimally lift 25 lbs unassisted or over 25 lbs with or without an accommodation.

• 6 months of retail and/or customer service experience.
• Bi‑lingual skills.
• Certification in a trade related to the department (e.g., hardware, kitchen, plumbing, electrical, lawn and garden, lumber/building materials).

This role does not require regular travel; however, it may need to travel occasionally to meetings, training, or to support neighboring stores.

Environmental factors vary by location. You may work in both inside and outside weather conditions, including extreme heat or cold, wet, damp, humid, windy, or drafty conditions. Exposure to noise, moving or shaking objects, and equipment is possible. Lifting guidelines limit single lifts to 75 pounds; team lifts are used minimally. Powered equipment should be used as required with proper training or assistance.
