We are seeking a motivated Staking Technician to coordinate new and existing electrical services, design and stake distribution line projects, and provide exceptional service to our members. In this role, you work both in the office and in the field, meeting with members, preparing construction designs and cost estimates, coordinating easements and permits, and ensuring projects are completed safely, accurately, and efficiently.

Responsibilities- Design, survey, and stake new and existing electrical distribution projects, including service installations, upgrades, relocations, and system improvements.
- Meet with members, property owners, and contractors to coordinate projects, provide cost estimates, obtain easements and permits, and ensure a positive member experience.
- Prepare accurate staking sheets, work orders, construction drawings, material lists, and project cost estimates to support safe and efficient construction.
- Inspect completed construction projects, maintain accurate system documentation, and ensure compliance with Cooperative standards, RUS guidelines, and applicable codes and regulations.
- Support the Cooperative commitment to safety, reliability, and exceptional member service by collaborating with internal departments and responding to member needs throughout each project.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Journeyman Lineman certification required.
- Experience in staking, electric distribution construction, or a related field preferred.
- Working knowledge of electrical distribution systems, RUS standards, NESC, and NEC.
- Strong communication, organizational, and computer skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and provide excellent member service.
- Valid driver s license required;
Class A CDL preferred.
