Staff Accountant

Client is seeking a Staff Accountant to assist with cost accounting, inventory analysis, reconciliations, and financial reporting support during a temporary coverage assignment. Salary is $70-$80k, DOE

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE STAFF ACCOUNTANT:

• The Staff Accountant will prepare daily and weekly operational reports related to efficiency, overtime, and labor hours
• The Staff Accountant will perform inventory reconciliations for major components along with balance sheet and account reconciliations
• Conduct cost analysis and factor studies related to materials and production costs
• Support month-end activities including journal entry preparation and other accounting support functions

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE STAFF ACCOUNTANT ROLE:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required, relevant cost accounting experience may be considered in lieu of degree
• Strong understanding of GAAP accounting principles required
• Manufacturing and/or cost accounting experience is a plus, not a must
