Cost Accounting Manager
Location: Chillicothe, Ohio Area
Compensation: $100,000 - $120,000 Base Salary

A well-established manufacturing organization in the Chillicothe, Ohio area is seeking a Cost Accounting Manager to lead cost accounting functions, support financial decision-making, and drive operational profitability. This position offers the opportunity to partner closely with plant leadership and senior management while playing a key role in financial planning, inventory management, and cost control initiatives.
Key Responsibilities- Manage all cost accounting activities for manufacturing operations
- Analyze product costs, manufacturing variances, labor efficiency, and inventory performance
- Develop and maintain standard costing systems and procedures
- Lead monthly inventory reconciliations and physical inventory processes
- Prepare financial analyses and reports for plant and corporate leadership
- Partner with operations teams to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve profitability
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and annual planning processes
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies
- Assist with audits and internal control initiatives
- Supervise and mentor accounting staff as needed
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting required
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including cost accounting in a manufacturing environment
- Prior leadership or management experience preferred
- Strong understanding of standard costing, inventory accounting, and variance analysis
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP systems
- Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving abilities
- CPA, CMA, or MBA is a plus
- Base salary: $100,000 - $120,000
