Compensation: $100,000 – $120,000 Base Salary

A well-established manufacturing organization in the Chillicothe, Ohio area is seeking a Cost Accounting Manager to lead cost accounting functions, support financial decision-making, and drive operational profitability. This position offers the opportunity to partner closely with plant leadership and senior management while playing a key role in financial planning, inventory management, and cost control initiatives.

• Manage all cost accounting activities for manufacturing operations
• Analyze product costs, manufacturing variances, labor efficiency, and inventory performance
• Develop and maintain standard costing systems and procedures
• Lead monthly inventory reconciliations and physical inventory processes
• Prepare financial analyses and reports for plant and corporate leadership
• Partner with operations teams to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve profitability
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and annual planning processes
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies
• Assist with audits and internal control initiatives
• Supervise and mentor accounting staff as needed

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including cost accounting in a manufacturing environment
• Prior leadership or management experience preferred
• Strong understanding of standard costing, inventory accounting, and variance analysis
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP systems
• Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving abilities
• CPA, CMA, or MBA is a plus
