Equity ECS is a full service commercial real estate firm. As Senior Project Manager, you oversee many of the duties and tasks that must be accomplished in the construction, renovation, or restructuring of a construction project. This role delegates tasks and duties to subordinate project managers, contractors and laborers.

You will also be responsible for permits, programming, design and the construction itself as well as communicating with architects, clients, vendors and staff.

What are the Key Objectives:
  • Provide leadership and direction for all phases of assigned projects—including planning, preconstruction, execution, and closeout—ensuring alignment with client goals, design intent, and Equity ECS standards of quality and accountability.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, consultants, and internal partners throughout the design and construction process to promote teamwork, problem-solving, and alignment with project objectives.
  • Lead design team while creating conceptual budgets, lead design value engineering efforts, balancing creativity and constructability to achieve cost-effective, high-performing solutions.
  • Support preconstruction by reviewing estimates, evaluating project approaches, and identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency, mitigate risk, and deliver value.
  • Develop and manage comprehensive project schedules, establishing milestone dates and ensuring all activities are executed in accordance with contract requirements, client expectations, and company priorities.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate project documentation—including scopes of work, contracts, purchase orders, reports, and budget updates—to support clear communication and accountability across teams.
  • Negotiate and manage contracts with vendors, subcontractors, and consultants to ensure favorable terms, cost control, and alignment with Equity ECS quality and performance expectations.
  • Coordinate permitting efforts and ensure all required approvals and licenses are secured and maintained in compliance with applicable codes and regulations.
  • Manage project budgets, schedules, and change management processes to drive financial performance, operational efficiency, and client satisfaction.
  • Partner closely with the Project Superintendent to ensure the project is constructed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Monitor project performance metrics and reporting, maintaining visibility into costs, progress, and resource needs to ensure proactive decision-making.
  • Lead regular project meetings to maintain alignment between internal teams, trade partners, and clients, reinforcing clear communication and shared accountability.
  • Mentor and develop project teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, integrity, and continuous improvement consistent with the core values and pillars of Equity ECS.
Who Do You Work With and Who Guides Your Career:

You will be a collaborator, partner, driver, and relationship creator with other project managers, superintendents, assistant project managers, subcontractors, clients, and internal team members, alike. This role reports to the Director of Construction Operations.

What You

Offer:
  • Bachelor's in construction management, Civil Engineering or equivalent experience preferred
  • PMP designation, preferred
  • 10+ years in construction, a minimum of 5 years as Senior PM is preferred.
  • Prior design build experience preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of construction procedures and materials
  • Prior use of Procore and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Microsoft Project preferred
