Treatment Plant Coordinator 2 (Wastewater)

Location:

Chillicothe Correctional Institution, Chillicothe, OH

Compensation: $59,000 to $85,000 annually.

Schedule:

Full-time. Union: OCSEA.

• Assist treatment plant operation manager.
• Coordinate maintenance of mechanical and electrical equipment (motors, pumps, blowers, comminutors, air compressors, chemical feeders).
• Train maintenance staff and operators on proper procedures.
• Inspect facilities and coordinate purchase of chemicals and parts.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and adjust equipment.
• Review preventive maintenance programs.
• Inspect newly installed equipment.
• Instruct facility staff in chemical testing and reporting.
• Review design drawings and specifications for contract work.
• Meet with consultants to resolve construction or installation issues.
• Perform general maintenance work (tilling, mowing, painting, snow plowing).
• Implement operational modifications as necessary to meet EPA requirements.
• Attend annual training, meetings, and serve on committees.

• Certificate of class at least equal to that required by water system or wastewater classification pursuant to Rule 3745‑7‑02, EPA.
• 12 months experience as a treatment plant operator in water or sewage treatment, including routine laboratory tests on flows.
• 6 months training or 6 months experience in employee training and development.
• Valid driver's license.
• Class II Water certification (OAC 3745‑7‑15 requirement).
