The Non-Certified Sterile Processing Technologist is responsible for decontamination, inspection, assembly, packaging, sterilization, high-level disinfection, and distribution of surgical instruments. This role appropriately documents and performs quality assurance in all appropriate areas. This role ensures that all item are processed according to hospital policies, industry standards, and infection prevention guidelines to support patient safety. This role is entry-level and designed to train and prepare caregivers to become a Certified Registered Central Service Technologist (CRCST), while gaining hands-on experience in a clinical setting.
Minimum QualificationsRequired Educational Degree:
High School Diploma or GED
Required Certifications, Credentials and Licenses:
De-escalation training within 6 months.
