Job Details

  • Compensation: The hourly base pay range for this position is $15 per hour. Compensation is based on job‑related skills, experience, education or training, and location.
  • Work Schedule: The work schedule for this position can be AM/PM shift times.
  • Benefits: Employees are eligible to enroll in accident insurance, critical illness insurance, hospital indemnity insurance, telemedicine benefits, and the company’s 401(k) retirement savings plan. Eligibility depends on job classification, length of employment, and number of hours worked. Seasonal and temporary roles are not eligible for these benefits.
Summary

The Guest Service Associate is responsible for delivering exceptional hospitality services to guests in an attentive, friendly and efficient manner. Duties include parking and retrieving guest vehicles safely, assisting guests with luggage, and providing support throughout arrival and departure.

Descriptive Statements – % of Time
  • Maintains pleasant, friendly, and professional demeanor with all guests, co‑workers, and clients; greets guests within five feet with a professional and friendly demeanor. – 25%
  • Uses salutation of the day and welcomes guests to the location, practices proper phone etiquette, and remains available when not completing tasks. – 10%
  • Parks and retrieves vehicles while driving slowly and cautiously; assists guests with bell services and luggage storage; opens vehicle and hotel doors for guests. – 20%
  • Assists guests with directions, taxi services, reservations, and other inquiries; provides information about facility amenities and local attractions; delivers messages and guest amenities; shuttles guests to approved locations. – 10%
  • Explains parking rates and retrieval procedures; issues claim checks only after receiving vehicle keys; collects claim checks prior to issuing keys; completes and maintains all ticket information, including key tags, guest folio, vehicle location, damage survey, and claim check receipts. Calculates and collects revenue for vehicles when required. – 35%
Qualifications Education:
  • High school diploma or GED
Required Licensure, Certification, Etc.:
  • Must hold a valid driver’s license for the state in which the position is located, or within a commutable distance.
Work Experience:
  • One month of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge:
  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services.
Skills:
  • Ability to read and write standard English language.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one‑on‑one and small group situations to guests, clients, and other employees.
  • Basic arithmetic: adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing three‑digit numbers and basic operations with American monetary units.
  • Ability to understand 24‑hour and military time systems.
  • Ability to understand rates applicable to time passed.
  • Manual transmission operation highly desirable.
  • Ability to perform parallel parking.
SCOPE Authority To Act
  • Job is fairly routine. The incumbent follows established practices and procedures. Duties are performed with specific directions and are frequently checked or verified. Decisions are made within specific operational instructions and departmental guidelines. Errors in judgment could affect the smooth and efficient operation of the department.
Budget Responsibility
  • The employee has control over available resources only.
WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently needs to sit or stand for extended periods of time and may be required to run, walk, handle or feel objects, tools or controls, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Lifting

Requirements
  • Exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, up to 50 pounds frequently, and up to 20 pounds constantly to move objects.
Working Environment

The majority of work will be performed outdoors for extended periods, including the entire shift. Employees are exposed to environmental conditions such as extreme heat and cold weather. Weather protection may be provided but not necessarily for temperature changes.

Travel

Up to 5% travel may be required.
