Avnet Analytics Internship

The Analytics internship program provides students with practical work experience in data, reporting, and business intelligence within a global organization. The intern will support the Analytics team with data preparation, validation, analysis, and dashboard related activities that help the business make better decisions.

Duties and responsibilities include:

• Help clean, organize, and prepare data so it can be used for analysis, reports, and dashboards.
• Support the team by checking data, reviewing calculations, and identifying possible errors or inconsistencies.
• Help analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and useful insights for the business.
• Assist with creating, updating, and documenting reports and dashboards using business intelligence tools.
• Participate in team and stakeholder meetings, document feedback, and help organize tasks for upcoming work.

Knowledge and skills:

• PC skills including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Basic to intermediate knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint.
• Interest in data analytics, business intelligence, reporting, or data engineering.
• Good communication skills and willingness to collaborate with different teams.

Work tools:

• Azure Databricks (SQL and Python)
• Power BI (Optional)

Education and certification:

• One year remaining before graduating of one of the following degrees or a related field:
• Engineering in Data Science
• Engineering in Software
• Other related engineering degrees with strong mathematics, data analysis, and programming background
• At least intermediate English level B1 or B2 is required.

Additional information:

• This is a paid internship.
• Work schedule is hybrid schedule some days in office, some days WFH, 20 hrs. per week.
• Selected candidate must have reliable internet access and transportation.
• Relocation is not offered for this role.
• Sponsorship is not offered for this role.
