Angott Search Group is proud to partner with Chivaho Federal Credit Union, a $36MM credit union located in Chillicothe, Ohio, in the search for a Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
This is a pivotal executive leadership role responsible for setting the strategic direction, ensuring operational excellence, and maintaining the financial strength of the organization. Reporting directly to the Board of Directors, the CEO will lead all aspects of the credit union's performance while fostering a culture rooted in service, accountability, and community engagement.
The ideal candidate will bring a strong balance of strategic vision, operational leadership, and regulatory expertise, along with a commitment to member-focused financial services.
Responsibilities:
- Provide overall leadership and strategic direction in alignment with Board-approved goals and policies.
- Develop and implement organizational strategies, programs, and policies that support sustainable growth and performance.
- Oversee all operational areas to ensure efficiency, effectiveness, and regulatory compliance.
- Monitor economic and market trends to inform decisions related to liquidity, pricing, and investment strategies.
- Establish and maintain sound financial management practices, including budgeting, forecasting, and asset/liability management.
- Safeguard organizational assets and ensure strong internal controls across all functions.
- Prepare and present financial and operational reports to the Board of Directors.
- Lead investment strategy and ensure the ongoing financial health and stability of the institution.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable federal and state regulations, including reporting and audit requirements.
- Oversee lending and credit strategies to align with liquidity needs and risk tolerance.
- Drive talent strategy, including recruitment, development, performance management, and succession planning.
- Foster strong relationships with members, employees, community stakeholders, and industry partners.
- Promote a culture of integrity, accountability, and high performance across the organization.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of progressive leadership experience within banking or the credit union industry.
- Proven executive-level leadership experience within a financial institution.
- Strong knowledge of credit union operations, financial management, and regulatory requirements.
- Demonstrated success in strategic planning and execution.
- Deep understanding of financial reporting, asset/liability management, and investment strategies.
- Experience working with and reporting to a Board of Directors.
- Track record of building, leading, and developing high-performing teams.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and discretion.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or related field required; advanced degree preferred.
