2nd and 3rd Shift Maintenance Tech FULL TIME

Herr Foods Inc. is a privately owned salty snack food manufacturer and distributor based in Nottingham, PA. We are looking for a qualified individual to join our Chillicothe team as a Maintenance Technician.

Eligibility for up to a $250 retention bonus!

Schedule:

Monday to Friday.

Hours:

2nd shift: 2:30pm-11pm; 3rd shift: 10:30pm-7am. Additional hours may be required due to business demands.

• Complete a background and pre‑employment drug screen.
• Complete a pre‑placement screening to test ability to perform physical requirements.

• At least 18 years of age.
• Able to lift 50 pounds.
• One to three months of related mechanical experience and/or training.
• Ability to work with latex gloves, airborne seasoning, cardboard dust, cleaning solutions, and hot water.
• Ability to work in a noisy and fast‑paced environment.
• Good balance on slippery surfaces.
• Can sustain concentration for up to 3 hours at a time.

• Install, maintain, and repair machinery, equipment, physical structures, pipe, and electrical systems.
• Coordinate with team members to diagnose problems and repair equipment.
• Inspect and test machinery and equipment visually. Perform preventive maintenance as required.
• Listen for unusual sounds to detect malfunctions.
• Dismantle defective machinery and install new or repaired parts. Repair breakdowns promptly and thoroughly.
• Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and other machinery parts.
• Install and repair electrical apparatus, such as transformers, wiring, and electronic components.
• Maintain the physical structure of the establishment.
• Other duties may be assigned.
