Production Operator – Chillicothe, Missouri
Donaldson is seeking a focused, detail‑oriented Production Operator to work on our first shift (5:00am‑3:30pm, Monday‑Thursday). The role is on‑site and involves day‑to‑day manufacturing in a fast‑paced environment aimed at delivering quality products for our customers.
Key Responsibilities- Fabricate metal or media‑based parts at workstations using hand tools, jigs, fixtures, and power tools, following blueprints and route sheets.
- Paint, assemble, and package units to meet customer specifications, reworking materials and assemblies when necessary.
- Fit, align, calibrate, and adjust parts and mechanisms to meet tolerances and product operating requirements.
- Lift, move, and stand at workstations while operating multiple types of machinery to process materials and assemblies.
- Inspect parts with quality inspection tools such as calipers and height gauges; complete first‑piece inspections and non‑conformance reports.
- Evaluate and calibrate parts in accordance with acceptance test procedures.
- Follow work instructions, routings, DOT, HAZMAT, and Donaldson safety and environmental policies.
- Use all designated personal protective equipment as required.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Six months of experience in a manufacturing, assembly, or production/warehousing environment.
- Vocational training or certification in building trades, automotive, or welding acceptable.
- Ability to lift/carry up to 50 pounds routinely and stand/assemble products for extended periods.
- Experience inspecting assemblies with quality inspection tools.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, routings, and work instructions.
- Proficiency in operating forklifts or powered lifts.
- Strong teamwork, adaptability, and a proactive approach to change.
Hourly pay starts at $20.75, increasing to $23.23 after successful completion of a 90‑day probationary period. The position is eligible for overtime and union membership/dues per state and federal regulations.
