Description:

Administers nursing care within scope of practice under the direction of registered nurses or licensed healthcare providers.
Responsibilities include administering oxygen, applying sterile dressings, inserting catheters, and reinserting gastrostomy tubes.
Performs wound suctioning, irrigation, and provides enemas as needed.
Collects specimens and performs dialysis treatments while monitoring patients.
Assists in the physical exams, treatments, and laboratory tests.
Provides emergency assistance by administering first aid and performing cardio-pulmonary resuscitation.
Responsible for administering controlled substances and providing medication instructions to patients.
Maintains medication accountability records including patient charts and prepares medication stock.
Observes, documents, and reports patient conditions, ensuring accurate patient records are maintained.
Provides general nursing care, including taking vital signs and assisting with daily living activities.
Administers topical treatments and responds to patient alarms.
Makes medical appointments for patients and assists with recreational activities.
Provides guidance and training to other direct care staff as needed.
Attends and participates in various meetings, including staff conferences and training programs.
Orders medication and medical supplies as required.
Keeps the nursing station and medication areas clean and organized.
Performs clerical tasks, including answering phones and filing.
