Chillicothe, OH
Position SummaryAs a Tire & Battery Center Technician you will work to provide safe and efficient service in both the sales and service areas of the department and deliver to our members more of what they love, for less. You will work collaboratively with other associates to ensure the club meets the members’ expectations.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with team members to fulfill sales and service requests, educate associates on tools and tasks, mentor new technicians, and communicate interpersonal skills to provide safe and efficient customer service.
- Demonstrate knowledge of safety and compliance protocols, tire and battery industry guidelines, service standards, equipment operations, TPMS, Point of Sale systems, and selling techniques.
- Leverage digital tools to plan for and drive sales, improve the service experience, and elevate associate engagement using handheld technology and systems for immediate business decisions.
- Communicate equipment, tools, and supplies needs to the TBC Lead, track returns and special orders, operate cash registers, process transactions, and maintain accurate inventory, audit safety and compliance standards, report complaints, and produce required documentation.
- Identify member needs, assist members with purchasing decisions, and resolve issues and concerns.
- Advocate the brand by modeling high‑quality service, inspiring teammates, and fostering teamwork and respect for diversity.
- Adhere to company policies, prioritize tasks, and pursue improvement opportunities, adapting to change and learning from feedback.
- Respect individual differences, build trusted relationships, and motivate teammates with energy and positivity.
- Act with integrity, uphold Walmart values, support the regenerative company goal, and hold yourself and others accountable.
- Serve customers and members by making decisions based on reliable information, balancing short‑ and long‑term priorities, and striving for excellence through curiosity, learning, and continuous improvement.
- Valid state‑issued driver’s license.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Will successfully complete all required trainings and assessments within the prescribed time period if hired.
- Preferred:
Auto service industry experience;
Retail experience.
- Competitive hourly wage $20.00 to $28.00 (may exceed the minimum wage). Premiums may apply.
