Operates company vehicles and provides courteous and efficient delivery and pickup of packages; checks shipments for conformance to Fed Ex features of service; provides coverage for all assigned routes; performs related customer service functions and other duties as assigned.
Minimum EducationHigh school diploma or GED.
Minimum ExperienceSix (6) months of courier experience preferred. Must be able to demonstrate area knowledge.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Ability to maneuver packages of any weight above 50 lbs with appropriate equipment or assistance.
- Good human relations and verbal communication skills.
- Thorough knowledge of the station's service area preferred.
- Demonstrated skills in adaptability, dependability, and excellent courier methods.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Ability to read and speak English to understand traffic signs and communicate with officials and respond to inquiries in accordance with FMCSA enforcement guidance.
Neat appearance required due to customer contact. Must meet and maintain federal motor carrier safety regulations. Requires a medical exam per FMCSA or FAA regulations. Must obtain and maintain a valid driver's license as per state requirements and have a good driving record as outlined in policy. Non-covered safety‑sensitive position. Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
Pay$22.30 per hour.
