As part of our continued growth, an opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Commercial Manager to join our team. Working with support and direction from the Account Director, the role will assist with the day-to‑day commercial management of the contract, helping to ensure contractual obligations are understood, risks are identified and controlled, and commercial opportunities are progressed appropriately. The Assistant Commercial Manager will support stakeholder engagement with client representatives, operational teams, finance, projects and supply chain partners, escalating commercial risks, contractual issues and key decisions in line with governance requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supporting the identification, management and mitigation of operational, financial, commercial and technical risks.
  • Assisting with variation and change control processes, including maintaining records, supporting approvals and tracking progress through to completion.
  • Maintaining appropriate records for confidential and commercially sensitive information in line with internal governance requirements.
  • Supporting governance activity to help ensure contractual and internal requirements are understood, monitored and complied with.
  • Helping to improve service quality by promoting awareness of contractual responsibilities across Bellrock teams, including contract deliverables, scope of services and agreed processes.
  • Assisting with the identification of efficiencies, service improvements and commercial optimisation opportunities.
  • Supporting commercial compliance reviews and audits, including gathering evidence, tracking actions and escalating areas of concern.
  • Supporting cash management activity, including assisting with billing, applications for payment, debt tracking and financial reporting where required.
  • Providing commercial support to projects and supply chain activity, including helping to ensure appropriate commercial controls, approvals and records are in place.
Qualifications
  • Relevant commercial experience within hard FM, facilities management or a similar contract‑led environment; awareness of NEC contracts would be advantageous.
  • Good financial awareness, with the ability to review data, documentation and commercial information accurately.
  • Understanding of commercial risk, with the ability to identify issues and escalate them appropriately.
  • Delivering – supporting the contract to achieve its commercial, financial, risk and business continuity objectives.
  • Developing – helping to build commercial awareness and promote good commercial practice within the operational delivery team.
  • Finance – working alongside finance colleagues to understand contract performance, support reporting and help identify improvement opportunities.
Working Arrangements

In this role, the successful candidate would be required to work between the West Chichester Office and their home address on a hybrid basis Monday to Friday 08:30‑17:00.
