Senior Accounting Manager

Position: Senior Accounting Manager Opportunity
Be the accounting leader Chilliwack School District needs as the Accounting Manager. Leverage your financial expertise to ensure compliance and enhance operational efficiency.

In this essential role, you will work under the Assistant Secretary Treasurer to manage daily accounting tasks and reporting mechanisms. With at least five years of experience in finance, you'll utilize your CPA or similar designation to improve financial stewardship. Your collaborative nature will facilitate strong partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Direct AP, AR, and cash management functions

• Supervise general ledger and ERP implementations

• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations

• Prepare analyses and financial statements for decision-making

• Build relationships and provide clear financial guidance

Requirements:

• Degree in finance or a related area

• CPA, CGA, or CMA certification essential

• Extensive accounting experience in large settings

• Proven supervisory skills with staff development

• Deep understanding of GAAP and CRA regulations
