As an Auto Team Manager
, you are responsible for overseeing and developing the auto teams in our busiest location within the Fraser Valley. In this role, you will lead a diverse group of Auto Insurance professionals, focused on both personal and commercial auto, as well as Autoplan service  will lead, motivate and coach your team to create a memorable client experience and drive business results.

Reporting to the Branch Manager, you are accountable for compliance, increasing revenues, profitability, flow through, expense management and the overall satisfaction / engagement of both clients and employees. You will help manage the relationship with key stakeholders in the community including dealerships.

A day in the life -

  • Help develop and lead the execution of an annual business plan to maintain and grow a book of business through:

    New business generation

    Business retention

    Cross-selling private auto

    Lead generation

  • Inspire and coach your team to deliver a memorable client experience and uphold service standards.

  • Manage operational aspects of the auto team including corporate branding, office aesthetics and cleanliness.

  • Schedule the Auto agents, ensuring shifts are adequately covered. Adjust the schedule as needed to adapt to changes required due to illness, staffing changes, business needs, etc.

  • Ensure compliance with ICBC rules and regulations through regular check-ins and inspection including batching, inventory management, forms completion, completing Policy Centre transactions and training completion.

  • Ensure high employee engagement through recruiting, talent management, development, and career planning.

  • Provide clear, concise and consistent communication to the team (branch specific, corporate communications, etc.)

  • Ensure monthly office meetings, weekly department mini meets and monthly staff one on ones are scheduled and executed.

  • Coach and mentor team leads and auto staff, so each has the opportunity to develop and perform to his/her highest potential.

  • Ensure strong dealer relationships and issues are treated with a high sense of urgency so they can be resolved quickly and amicably.

  • Processing and monitoring daily/weekly/monthly renewal lists.

  • Participate in both the business and industry communities to build a network of contacts that improve the presence and reputation of the branch and organization.

  • Providing assistance to the walk-in Auto customers as required.

  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

  • Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years insurance brokerage experience.

  • Previous management experience leading a department or branch.

  • Level 2 license.

  • Industry designation (CAIB, CIP, FCIP, CRM).

  • Salary Expectations -

    The expected salary range for this position is $60,000.00 to $75,000.00 and will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate’s skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position’s business line, scope, and level.
