Fraser Health is hiring a Casual Cook I for Fraser Canyon Hospital in Hope, B.C. This role is instrumental in preparing and serving meals to patients with professionalism.

In this position, you will play a key role in supporting the dietary needs of patients by following established menus and recipes. Your responsibilities include cooking diverse food items, managing inventory, and ensuring strict adherence to safety. Collaborate with your team to provide excellent service all around.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook a variety of meals daily

• Ensure compliance with departmental food safety standards

• Assemble Cook Chill products according to guidelines

• Supervise Food Service Workers as needed

• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen workspace

Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited 12-month cooking program

• Valid Food Safe 1 certificate or equivalent

• Effective communication and interpersonal skills

• Strong organizational abilities in kitchen settings

• Physical capability to meet work demands
