Join the team at Seabird Island as a Housing Maintenance and Repair Technician, enhancing community safety through effective housing maintenance. Collaborate with diverse teams to ensure well-maintained facilities reflecting First Nations traditions.

In this role, you will report to the Residential Maintenance Program Manager, delivering essential maintenance and repair services across community housing. Your experience and skills in areas like carpentry, HVAC, and electrical work will help you fulfill community needs swiftly and effectively, maintaining high safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute maintenance tasks and respond to tenant repair requests

• Conduct inspections and timely follow-up on maintenance issues

• Maintain detailed records of repairs and inspections performed

• Engage with community members to address their housing concerns

• Support educational initiatives regarding home maintenance

Requirements:

• Diploma in Building Maintenance or Construction Management

• 2+ years of experience in First Nations housing maintenance

• Strong communication and relationship-building abilities

• Understanding of housing inspection and preventative maintenance

• Valid class 5 driver’s license needed
