Location: Agassiz
Become a vital part of the Hemlock Utility Services team as a Heavy Equipment Operator, ensuring reliable utility service in the scenic mountain environment. This seasonal position focuses on hands-on equipment operation and maintenance.
In this 5-month role, you will perform essential utility construction and repair tasks, operate heavy machinery, and ensure worksite safety. Your capability to adapt to various tasks and conditions, combined with strong excavation knowledge, will position you for success in this meaningful job.
Key Responsibilities:
• Operate heavy machinery including trucks and skid steers
• Carry out excavation and grading for utility projects
• Assist in the installation of underground utilities
• Conduct safety checks and site assessments
• Keep work areas clean and organized
Requirements:
• Valid BC Driver’s License Class 5 considered an asset
• Experience with heavy equipment operation
• Knowledge of excavation and utility practices
• Ability to work in physically demanding outdoor conditions
• Confined Space Entry certification preferred
