Position: Payroll Specialist
Rate: $26 an hour
Job Type: Full-time
Schedule: 8-hour shift, Monday – Friday
Location: Chino Hills, CA

- Complete accurate data entry and data processing within deadlines requiring a high level of accuracy and confidentiality.
- Respond to requests for information and assist employees with inquiries.
- Complete periodic reports and submissions.
- Prepare documents and complete filing.
- Answer phone calls and emails.
- Assist with employee inquiries regarding payroll checks or deductions on their paychecks.
- Manage workflow to ensure all payroll transactions are processed accurately and timely.
- Prepare, maintain and track related payroll records and reports.
- Process, review and correct punches from electronic time clocks and review the downloaded information for completeness and accuracy.
- Maintain payroll information by collecting payroll data from sheet and other records, calculating, and entering data into payroll system.
- Experience in an office administrator role.
- Previous experience in one or more administrative departments such as accounts receivable, payroll or human resources highly preferred.
- Ability to speak effectively with employees of the organization.
- Must have very strong data entry, typing and computer skills.
- General PC familiarity required; ability to use Outlook, Word and Excel in daily communication.
- Familiarity with Ceridian Dayforce HRIS system preferred.
- High School Diploma required;
Associate degree from an U.S. accredited community college preferred. - Strong skills in accuracy and attention to detail, including timely follow‑up in expediting exceptions.
- Ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment.
- Works well in a team environment as well as individually.
- Ability to maintain confidential information.
- Basic level of working experience in Excel, Word, and Outlook applications.
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
- Background check and references satisfactory.
- Regular, reliable, predictable attendance.
- 2‑3 years of payroll experience.
