Chino Valley Unified School District is hiring a full‑time Dance Teacher for the 2025‑2026 school year. The position is open at two district elementary schools in the Chino Valley area and is funded under the district teacher salary schedule.
Position OverviewLocation(s): E.J. Marshall Elementary School & Newman Elementary School
Work Year Length: 183 school days
Salary Range: $62,309 – $130,469 annually (district induction program for preliminary credentials)
- Teach dance, music, and movement to elementary students using the San Bernardino County Course of Study and district curriculum.
- Develop lesson plans, instructional materials, and assessments that meet state and district standards.
- Provide individualized and small‑group instruction to adapt the curriculum to each pupil’s needs.
- Maintain classroom behavior standards to create a functional learning environment.
- Evaluate pupils’ academic and social growth, keep progress records, and communicate with parents.
- Collaborate with other staff to address health, attitude, and learning problems.
- Participate in district and school curriculum development, faculty committees, and student activities.
- Administer group‑standardized tests and coordinate paraprofessional aides, if applicable.
- Perform basic attendance accounting and business services; attend PTA meetings; serve on bus, yard, and cafeteria duty as assigned.
- Valid California single‑subject teaching credential in Dance (or Physical Education issued prior to 2022).
- English Learner Authorization.
- High school diploma or equivalent (educational requirement).
- Copy of non‑expired credential from the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing.
- Copy of transcript (all undergraduate/graduate coursework).

- Letter of Introduction.
- Two letters of recommendation (signed, dated within last 24 months).
- Resume.
