Job Description- Seeking one Teacher's Aide (Paraprofessional) for the Special Needs Student Program full‑time for the 2025‑2026 school year. This is a full‑time position with benefits. The Chino Valley Unified School District operates a 4‑day work week Monday through Thursday.

- Provides support to the teacher to ensure a safe and stimulating educational environment.
- Assists the teacher in planning and preparation for daily activities; aids instructional efforts of the teacher.
- Assists the teacher in preparing lesson outlines, plans, and curricula in assigned areas.
- Plans, prepares, and develops various teaching aids for use in the classroom, including activity sheets, drawings, and similar handouts.
- Presents subject matter to children under the guidance of a teacher, using a variety of methods including stories, discussions, and role‑playing.
- Assists children individually or in groups with lesson assignments to present or reinforce learning concepts.
- May lead, guide, and train staff, interns, and/or volunteers performing related work; may participate in the recruitment of volunteers, as appropriate.
- Completes Medicaid School Based Claiming (MSBC) Program requirements as needed.
- Performs miscellaneous job‑related duties as assigned.
- Ability to understand and follow specific instructions and procedures.
- Skill in preparing instructional aids and plans.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Understanding and following safety procedures.
- Ability to provide activities that encourage healthy growth.
- Ability to provide a supportive and caring environment for children.
- Child supervision skills.
- Associate’s degree or greater, or 60+ semester hours of coursework documented on an official transcript from an accredited institution, or
- Demonstrate passing a formal state‑approved assessment within 90 days of hire (Para Pro Assessment).
- First Aid and CPR certification required within 90 days of hire.
- Must have or be able to obtain an Arizona IVP fingerprint card.
Work environment involves no physical risks or hazardous conditions. May involve slight physical risks requiring basic safety precautions and exposure to potentially dangerous materials requiring detailed safety precautions.
