Education Coordinator – SYLVAN LEARNING – Chino

Full-time 32-36 hours per week

As a successful Education Coordinator, your primary responsibility will be to champion the Sylvan developed curriculum, manage and ensure the quality of the education standards and teaching staff, partner with local schools and school administrators and grow the business in your center.

• Help Grow the Center:
  Keep parents informed on program progress by writing ongoing conferences
• Help Grow the Center:
  Work on recommendations to alter program prescriptions or offer additional programs
• Help Grow the Center:
  Manage offsite contracts
• Manage & Train:
  Participate in training & motivating all certified instructors, teachers and educational staff
• Manage & Train:
  Partner with the Center Director to run operations
• Ensure Educational Integrity:
  Administer Sylvan Skills Assessments; analyze and interpret results
• Ensure Educational Integrity:
  Write and recommend goal-based programs for Sylvan Students as well as monitor programs for performance
• Ensure Educational Integrity:
  Establish relationships and communications with students’ teachers for insights on school progress
• Ensure Educational Integrity:
  Create positive learning environment by modeling motivational behavior in the center for staff, students and parents, during all phases of the instructional program

• A teaching credential, either current or expired
• A minimum of 2 years teaching experience
• Managerial experience
• Excellent verbal communication and persuasive skills, and the ability to build relationships
• Effective problem solving skills
• Confidence presenting to large groups
• Ability to work evening hours and some Saturdays
